HOMES FOR THE HOMELESS
The Infinity Great Achievers International Foundation is a charitable organisation registered in the United Kingdom and in Nigeria.
In the past two years, we have been working in Nigeria, providing free vocational training to the Nigerian youths and young adults, helping them to acquire skills that enable their earning capacity, by so doing preventing poverty. We also provide Health and social care for less privileged women, Widows and the elderly.
Our next major project is centred around homeless children-children living on the street and orphans in Nigeria. The impact of coronavirus on these groups of vulnerable children is overwhelming.
According to a UNICEF report, children living on the street are a “phenomenon of grave concern in Nigeria.” Some are orphans — there are an estimated 8.6 million orphaned children in Nigeria. And some have left “unhappy homes,” UNICEF reports. They live under bridges, in railway stations and in markets. They earn money to survive in various ways, including selling plastic bags of water and washing windshields of cars stopped in traffic.
They’re likely among the 10.5 million Nigerians of school age who do not attend school. And they’re at risk. UNICEF notes: “Those children are more prone to illnesses, malnourishment, drug abuse, crime, accidents, arrest and harassment by law enforcement agents, and are also at risk of being trafficked.”
Our charitable organisation recently secured a facility which we intend to turn into a center for these vulnerable children, homeless children-children living on the street and orphans. This facility needs a high level renovation and equipment to make it fit for purpose.
Please, join us, let’s together make this facility a center of excellence for homeless children-children living on the street and orphans in Nigeria. By doing so, we would save these children from illnesses, malnourishment, drug abuse, crime, accidents, arrest and harassment by law enforcement agents, and also from the risk of being trafficked or losing their lives.
With us, these children would have access to accommodation, education, vocational training, healthcare, nourishing food, daily care and the opportunity of a better life to ensure their glorious futures. We would work closely with them to discover and maximise their potentials.
This facility is based in Ibadan, Oyo State Nigeria but will be open to children from across Nigeria. With your help and support, we can make the facility a center that builds and raises the world’s future leaders and also get more facilities for these groups of vulnerable children in many other states in the country Nigeria and other African countries.
